Well, I would say that you might not judge your friends on their beauty, but you certainly pick up a magazine cover or check out a musician on stage and say "damn that girl looks awful in that outfit" or "wow what was she thinking wearing that much eyeshadow". This round of ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind I will be looking at Audrey Kitching and Jessicka. Look with me ...

July 19, 2009ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind Looks At The 2009 Warped Tour Beauty Queens: Jeffree Star & Sierra KusterbeckWe judge people on the arrangements of their features and their style. Care to tell me that you don't? Well, I would say that you might not judge your friends on their beauty, but you certainly pick up a magazine cover or check out a musician on stage and say "damn that girl looks awful in that outfit" or "wow what was she thinking wearing that much eyeshadow". This round of ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind I will be looking at Jeffree Star and Sierra Kusterbeck.
Next, take a matte black eyeshadow and apply it in a half circle shape on the crease of your eyelid. This will leave the matte white eyeshadow directly above your lash line. This is a great trick for pretty much any look if you want to appear to have wider eyes (very 1960s). Take that same black shadow and apply it under your eye as an eyeliner. Take a thinner brush and bring the black eyeshadow out into a mini cat eye and blend it down. Take your blue eyeshadow and blend it above the black and into the white. Blend the colors together well! Then apply that same blue under the eye as well. To finish off your eyes, add some fabulous fake lashes and black liner on your inner part of your eyelids. Then apply a light pink blush under your cheek bones. This look is amazing on Jeffree, but you can definitely dull it down a bit if you dont think you can pull off a look this
Sierra Kusterbeck of VersaEmerge's look is a bit more subtle and I think she is gorgeous. If you are like Sierra and are looking for more of a neutral look, get out your brown eyeshadows and liquid eyeliner! First I would start out with a champaign color and apply it all over your eyelid. Next apply a mid tone shimmery brown or bronze eyeshadow and apply it all over your eye into a cat-eye-like shape and blend it with the champaign color (use a tissue as a straight edge to collect eyeshadow dust). Then you can take a dark matte brown to add highlights right above the crease of your eye. Also, apply that same color under your eye as a subtle eyeshadow. The collection of matte and shimmery eyeshadows add depth to your eye and will make you look naturally hot. Finish off your eye with a tiny bit of brown or black liquid liner and mascara. To finish off the whole look add a light pink or orange blush and a nude lipgloss and you are good to go! -Make sure before applying eyeshadow to apply a shadow base or primer. This product will prevent the oils on your face from creasing or ruining your makeup.TIP: Always apply the powder that you apply all over your face over the primer before your eyeshadow. This will set the primer and keep your eyeshadow on all day. -I absolutely HATE waterproof mascara. It definitely works, but the product can stay on your eyelashes for days and can actually make your lashes fall out. Instead of using water proof mascara I suggest just putting mascara just on your top lashes as concerts so that it doesnt smear.

If you are planning on going to any of those dates make sure you come find me and say hello! Il be the red head running around with a mic and camera (who will probably be sunburned) haha
What bands do you want to see on Warped? Anyone special that you are so pumped to see?

July 13, 2009I found the cure for acne, and it was nearly free and in my kitchen! Now it is no secret that I have struggled with acne since I was about 14 years old. I have tried EVERYTHING: Proactive, antibiotics, every topical jell under the sun (prescribed and drug store), fruit acids, facials, citrus peels, even laser acne treatment and NOTHING HAS WORKED! I am sure you can imagine, this was a little bit frustrating! The other day I was reading an article that said that in the civil war era Doctors used Apple Cider vinegar to cure everything from warts, infection, acid reflux to heart burn. They also said that it helped cure sores and acne. MY GOODNESS! so I decided to try it. I washed my face with a facial cleanser from the drug store and added some exfoliating crystals that I got from my dermatologist. This opened up my pores and allowed the Vinegar to enter into my face. Then I took a cotton ball and soaked it in vinegar and held it all over my face until it started to burn a bit. I repeated this over and over again for about 10 minutes before I went to bed. WHEN I WOKE UP, MY ACNE WAS GONE! My face was smooth, all my acne was dried up but my face was not dry.
This pretty much rocked, so I am going to keep using it (even though it makes my face smell) every night and see what happens I will keep you guys posted!
Ps. If you are going to try this, make sure you use organic vinegar.. It will be more acidic then most name brands.

July 3, 2009Hey Babay, Hey Babay HEY!So last night my mother (Darla Business Partner) and I were invited to the No Doubt and Paramore Concert by Hayley Williams. It was a ton of fun to see them play such a HUGE tour. The entire amphitheater was sold out and it was CRAZY! I was looking forward to the concert because I wanted to see if Hayley was wearing some of the Darla Makeup that I gave her last year :) I could see from the pictures that I took that she was definitely wearing Darla HD Lime and HD Sunrise.. THIS MADE ME SUPER HAPPY BUT WHAT MADE MY WEEK was that when I got home Hayley had twittered me saying that she was wearing Darla at the show and posted a picture of her makeup for all of her fans to see
Thanks so much Hayley! Lovin' the makeup and your ginger hair.. we fake gingers gotta stick together! Thanks for everything Hayley! Follow me on Twitter everyone! www.twitter.com/darlamakeup
