ScarletMadeline Makeup Mastermind Looks at Back to School Makeup: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

I cant believe its already that time of the year again! Time to get ready for school, UGH! But hey theres always an upside, that means time to create your look for the new year!

Here are some of this years big back to school trends:

1. BIG Lashes: 

Penelope Cruz with some big bold lashes (DEFINITELY not just from mascara)

Now it may seem like a pain in the butt to wear false lashes to school, and quite frankly I was always too damn lazy to do something like that before school. HOWEVER, if you are a morning person, you could easily look fabulous in a pair :)

2. Lightly Bronzed Skin:

Jessica Simpson with a light shimmery bronzer

Obviously no need to over do it. Light skin is in but nothing wrong with a little glow. Try adding a shimmering bronzer to your cheeks and chest but not TOO MUCH.

And please, for the love of goodness, if you insist on going tanning DONT use a playboy bunny tanning sticker, GAG A MAGGOT!

3. Flushed Cheeks

I am really over the whole wearing your blush up by your ears trend (back to the 80s nightmare). If you would like to try out the Adam Lambert look though, you only live once I guess.. YIKES!

Its grosssss, so try something a little bit more subtle like Taylor Swift
