We judge people on the arrangements of their features and their style. Care to tell me that you don't? Well, I would say that you might not judge your friends on their beauty, but you certainly pick up a magazine cover or check out a musician on stage and say "damn that girl looks awful in that outfit" or "wow what was she thinking wearing that much eyeshadow". This round of ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind I will be looking at the smokiest eyes on Kim Kardashian and on Beyonce.
I love Kim's look, she always look fabulous (thanks in part to her stylist). I love this picture, and her makeup in it. This is like the ultimate smokey eye with a 60's twist. Gotta love the cat eye! If you want to try out this look get out the black liquid liner and false lashes! To start out make sure you fill in your eyebrows well and add a sparkly white shadow (I prefer loose pigment) all over your eye up to the brow. Then take a silver color and cover your lid from the crease down to your lash line. If you want to pull of this awesome cat eye look try using a credit card's edge on your eyelid to make sure that the line is straight and fabulous (this will also prevent any makeup from getting on your face). Then I suggest using either a black liquid liner or a black matte eyeshadow with Paint Sealant to form this lovely cat eye. Just a heads up, this look took some major skill with makeup, so you may have to practice quite a bit to get both eyes even. Then get out some hot eyelashes for the top and the bottom of your eye.
*If you are a beginning with false lashes heres a trick: try cutting the lashes into three sections and gluing them on that way. This is a great way to practice, if you're a newbie :)
To finish off this look use a tiny bit of pink matte blush and a nude lipstick. The nude lipstick/gloss is a must for this 60's look because it will make your eyes pop.

This is a great example of a less extreme smokey eye, which would look great with tan skin tones. To pull of this look take a matte taupe color and cover your entire eye up to your brow (of course). Then I would take a very subtle light grey color and do a thin lay from your lash line up past your crease and blend it A LOT. Take a darker purple-ish grey tone and blend it from your crease down to your lash line and down under your eye to use as a liner. Take some black liner (waterproof is great for summer) and draw it on the inside of your lids on top and bottom. Make sure you either use some kick butt mascara with fibers (on top and bottom) for some WOW or some false lashes to finish off this look. I suggest not using water proof mascara, I cant stand the stuff. A lot of times you cant get the product off for a week and it can actually kill you lashes and cause them to fall out. If you do decide to use waterproof mascara use it rarely! Also try and stay away from Mascaras that have animal bi-products (like proteins, keratin or collagen) no need to hurt an animal :)

Beyonce always looks amazing, I think she is gorgeous. In this picture she is pulling off the perfect example of the brown smokey eye (great for any skin tone). If you want this look, once again fill in those brows. One of my biggest pet peeves and seeing girls who dont tend to the eyebrows (or over pluck them, yuck!). Eyebrows are very important to any look. Also, as you can see from both Beyonce and Kim, thin eyebrows are so out! Thicker eyebrows are super hot and really in fashion, so rock em! Make sure you groom them though. Take a champaign color (sparkled) and run it all over your lid all the way up to your brow for a base. Then take a mid tone brown and blend it from your lash line up past your crease. To help you blend you can use the champaign color again around the edges of the brown midtone. Use a dark brown color (preferably matte, for contrast) and highlight from your crease down to your lash line. Instead of using a black liner I suggest using your dark matte brown and using it under your eye (Super fabulous!). Of course use black mascara (unless you are blonde and are looking for a subtle look) and add false lashes if ya want. Once again Beyonce is rocking the nude lipstick, this is very 60's and super popular right now. It definitely makes those eyes pop!
